These Alcohol-Free Wine and Spirits Will Make Valentine’s Day Feel Extra Special!

Walking into Sobr Market doesn’t feel like you’re making a sacrifice choosing non-alcoholic drinks. They carry everything: wine, beer, and spirits! And they even have a bar that lets you sample a variety of drinks. Stop by on Valentine’s Day, when they’ll be offering a special cocktail made with the prettiest red liqueur to try that will only be available that day!

While you may be wondering why wine prices tend to be on the higher end, it’s because of the process that vineyards go through to make non-alcoholic wine. They first make an alcoholic wine, and then de-alcoholize it, which results in losing wine throughout the process, meaning they have to start out with more to make each bottle. For the price, you’re getting a high quality wine, and some of them come in absolutely gorgeous bottles - perfect for Valentine’s Day!

I recommend sampling the gin, as it contains a lot of the flavours you’d expect from an alcohol version, and even has some of the burn! They also have a large variety of beers, which tend to replicate alcohol-containing beers pretty well.

If even a de-alcoholized drink is over the limit for you, they have many options that are true 0 alcohol. Just ask for some guidance and they’ll recommend something that matches your needs.

This store, located at 2057A Danforth Ave, just west of Woodbine, is the first franchise store for Sobr Market and is locally owned. They offer delivery, and if something isn’t available in store, it’s no problem for them to get it from their warehouse. They also offer a loyalty program, where you get 5 points for each dollar spent, and 500 points will earn you $5 off a purchase.
