You guesed it! Secret Planet is today's Haystack store spotlight of the day!
The low-down on Secret Planet: Secret Planet is undoubtedly one of the coolest stores in Toronto’s East End! Located near Greenwood and Danforth, they are a screen print shop, and so much more! They offer a fabulous selection of posters, pins, magnets, t-shirts - with intergalactic and uber-local themed designs. They also have a lot of pretty rad back to school supplies which matters because starting up the school year should be done in the most lit way possible! Check out their stickers, notebooks, note pads, and pens!
Secret Planet started out carrying only Canadian products, and they’re going back to that. You’ll notice some of the things they have on display are made in the USA, and they won’t be available after they’re gone, as they won’t be restocking from those suppliers. This is really in line with Secret Planet’s identity: they’ve always been a mission-driven company. They are a minority, women owned company, and historically they’ve taken a stand on causes they care about. For example, they supported the postal strike last year and chose to stop accepting orders over going with other shipping companies.
Fun fact: The climbing community is super supportive of this store because of their cool and mission-driven focus! Their t-shirts have been spotted more than once at local climbing gyms and crags!
